LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING NO. 5
UNION PAID DAYS - BRAID STREET
The Company agrees to grant the Grievance and Negotiating Committee from the New Westminster operation a total of fifteen [15] paid days off during each contract year to be used in connection with the administration of this Collective Agreement. Such days are to be scheduled by mutual agreement with the Company.

It is anticipated that these days will be shared equally between the three [3] members of the Plant Committee.

However, the manner in which they are used shall be at the sole discretion of the Committee providing that only fifteen [15] days total are used.

Notwithstanding the fifteen (15) days outlined above, on the days scheduled Management/Union meetings occur which are two (2) hours or greater in duration, the Grievance and Negotiating Committee shall be booked off for the entire day and the cost of attendance at these meetings and time for the day will be borne by the Company.
